Fight Club
Model 645
The focus of one of the coolest movie intros ever, this Model 645 was in the hands, and mouth, of Ed Norton in 1999’s Fight Club. “…just then I wondered how clean the barrel of that gun was.”
Though Smith & Wesson had a large display at the 2011 SHOT Show, tucked in back was a truly interesting arrangement of glass counters holding some of the most famous S&W pistols ever brandished on film.
Greg Bilson, Jr., president of The American Entertainment Armories Association was on hand to explain the pieces, and impart endless anecdotes about the films he has provided weapons for. Some of his more recent projects: the hardware-heavy Sylvester Stallone action flick, The Expendables and Rambo (2008).
This guy officially has my dream job. Here are the weapons he was showcasing.

Regarding #14, I thought I read somewhere that Crockett holstered a Bren 10 in 10mm. Fellow gun cranks and M/V fans, anybody else see that or am I having some sort of 80's flashback?
John McClane carries a "Beretta" not a "Baretta".
Just sayin. . .
007,
Crockett carried the Bren Ten in the first couple of seasons. It disappeared when he had amnesia, and was led to believe he was his drug dealer alter-ego, Sonny Burnett. It was replaced with the Smith.
Ok, that works, thanks. As an aside, I also read in an old "Shooting Times", I think it was, that Don Johnson was one of the actors who handled his firearm correctly (believeably) in his portrayal. This gives me the itch to dig out the DVD's and watch it again. Great show! Thanks again.
To me a perfect gun can make a movie even better.
ooohhhh ahhhh jerimiah johnson is the best gun movie even know not a single smith and wesson was around but his .50 and .30 hawkens.
Movie guns are part of Hollywood's hidden agenda to make people afraid of guns. Check out the political parties of the actors who wielded these guns... I'll let you come to your own conclusions.
Most people I talk to base their knowledge of firearms on what they learn in the movies. The primary misguided take-away for them is this: Guns kill people. How many Hollywood movies do you see about Olympic target shooting or hunting? Huh?
F&S: Please don't glorify one of the biggest causes of gun fear in our country not to mention the biggiest spreader of false information about firearms. Tell those actors to keep their damn fingers outside of the trigger guard instead!
On slide #7, it's says the .44 magnum is the most powerful handgun in the world... If I'm not mistaken, the Smith&Wesson 500 is the most powerful revolver in the world, followed by the 460xvr and then the .44. Correct me if I'm wrong~ Winmag
300winmag, that's a qoute from the movie. At that time the 44 mag was the big boy.
NOW THIS COOL..SHUTTER ISLAND ..TO ME WQAW KINDA A WIERD MOVIE..MAKES ME FEEL FOR THE POOR SOBS..THAT GET STUCK IN A BAD SITUATION LIKE THAT
Funny how Hollywood Libs can shoot guns in movies, but want them banned for Americans.
Ah, call me a fool, but I like large, heavily modified handcannons. Gimme the one from xXx, the Spirit and that Model 460 from Rem. And while your at it, a Kimber 1911 for a possible service sidearm...
Huntergreen, amen! Didn't Arnold Swartenwhatisname and Clint Eastwood both show some anti-gun tendencies? And after all the $$$ they carted home for all the ammo they burned on screen? Hypocritical at best..........
Huntergreene, amen! Didn't Clint Eastwood and Arnold Swartzenegger (spelling??) both show some anti-gun tendencies in real life? How hypocritical after all the $$$ they made blazing up the silver screen and piling up the bodies.
Sorry for the hiccup there.
And I stand corrected..... I'd still like a .44 over any other handgun in existence, though.
Wonder what kind of people don't know Dirty Harrys famous words.Movies have sold more guns then all the adds ever will.
Make my day
tough job to have.
The movie quote given for "The Enforcer" is in fact not from "The Enforcer" but from the original movie in the series, "Dirty Harry"
How can the Schofield Model 3 Smith & Wesson from "The Unforgiven" be omitted?
I actually bought an airsoft Model 29 just so I could say that exact line. It took alot of time and lucky feeling people, but I finally did it.
That 629 is decked out!
Where's Indy's Hand Ejector or M1917 from Raiders of the Lost Ark?
Best one on there has to be Dirty Harry's hand cannon
