I love seeing something like this. An animal lower on the food chain defending itself.
Slow and steady wins the race!
Jeez, that's one tough elk. Pretty awesome to see.
It's just to bad the person taking the pictures didn't have more then just a camera. He could have saved a lot more elk.

Extraordinary photographic sequence. Takes major kahones to be out in the cold & stay steady near danger. Wolves move fast. This is not kid stuff. Topnotch.
