Are u sure the prom picture with the girl fishing wasnt just set up to send to Field and Stream because as far as i know the line release button is supposed to be pointing up.
Just so you know- in the 1940 picture there are 5 bucks in the trailer and 1 on each front fender well. Back in those days there were no doe permits except a hunting camp doe tag. The doe was shot and ate during the course of the 2 week season.
Reellife, I could be wrong, but is the little plastic tab that holds the line at the end of a new zebco also sitting on top of that reel (see the black nub atop the chrome)? Is line even threaded through the eyes of the pole?
Set up or not, the smile on the young lady pretending to fish is worth the whole photo. In this day and age, how many high school girls would allow anyone to shoot a photo like this unless they really wanted to let them? Kudos to whoever thought it would be a cool photo to take on her special night!!
That Military vehicle should be a fun one to tell your grandkids about. Not really. That looks like it was one hell of a time for you, usmcturkeyhunter. I'm glad you got to post this one - because you are lucky to be alive. Thanks for saving our country. BTW you've got more friends than you know.
I dream of reeling in a 50lb lake trout. That thing would feed an entire camp. And the guy who caught looks both proud and exhausted. Nice work, Phil, I;d be proud too.
Ok, since seeing this photo I've been trying to track down the spots for Fishing Flaming Gorge Reservoir near Rock Springs in Wyoming. If this is the right spot, I'm going to to hear there this summer to try my luck in catching a lunker like that.
Very nice pictures, and the 2 laketrout that were caught, we call them Makenaw here in MT, but thats about the normal size for the big, big ones. They range from 3# - up to 55# McGregor Lake, the ice fishing tourney is awesome
