That Saturday, I spent a cold, clear morning watching a fencerow between a cornfield and a beanfield. At about 8:30, I became convinced I was in the wrong spot. So I circled around to the opposite side of the field and—of course—spotted three does standing right where I’d been. When I raised my binoculars, a fourth deer stepped out, nose to the ground, dogging the does’ trail. He lifted his head and I thought, Oh my God!

Very nice bucks with your handguns. Hope to take my .357 mag with me this Indiana deer season. Hope you hang another wall hanger this 2009-2010 season.
Wow, nice tines!
Great story all about dedication
That's a heck of a buck.
Awesome buck! I too love to hunt with a handgun, still awaiting that first kill. One question, what kind of hold did you have for a 120 yd shot?
That is a nice buck! I have hunted with handguns it is a rush!!
Congrats on the buck, condolences on the theft. I too handgun hunt and can appreciate your trophy. Well done.
Awesome hunt! Awesome deer! That's a once in a lifetime buck no matter what you shoot it with!
Absolutely incredible deer, especially with a handgun!
Just got my latest issue-nov. of noth american whitetail. There was a buck taken in Dec. of 08
in Iowa that officially scored 194 3/8. It was a 10 pointer - very symetrical with extreme mass. It was taken with a shotgun on a drive, which is popular in Iowa.
