Thermacell Heated Insoles
$129.99
While they may seem a little gimmicky, as most items of clothing with a remote control are, these heated boot inserts from Thermacell are a great present for the hunter in your family.
Rechargeable batteries in the insole provide about 5 hours of juice per charge and the remote control offers two heat settings and an off switch. This means you can keep them off while walking to your stand, and then crank up the heat when you sit.
While not by any means ideal for someone on a long, rugged hunt away from power sources, they're great for the bowhunter who sits for a few hours in the morning and wants to walk back to the truck with feet that can actually still send signals to the brain. And they're great for early morning snow shoveling too.
The insoles come in sizes that will fit a woman's shoe size 4.5 all the way up to a man's size 13. —Dave Maccar
If you have hunter's on your holiday shopping list, you want to get them stuff they want and/or need. What you don't want after they tear off the wrapping paper is a polite smile and a luke-warm thank you followed by a kind request for the receipt. Put any one of these gift items under the tree this year and you'll get nothing but beaming smiles in return.

I can vouch for the Reconyx HC600. They are a phenomenal camera.
I want one!!
We have to say "Holiday Gift" because we're scared of offending the minute portion of our readership who might be offended by the word Christmas.
That's the only thing wrong with this list.
What holiday are these gifts intended for? Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Halloween????
It seems that these "holiday gift" idea lists always come out just before Christmas, when we celebrate the birth of Christ.
I've got an idea; stop insulting us and call it a Christmas gift idea list!!
How long before we hear about a call to ban the marshmallow gun??? It looks like way too much fun !
I echo the previous three comments about about being so PC so as to exclude the mention of the word Christmas from it's proper place at this time of year.
Since when has it come down to sportsman's publication being so afraid of a few that they tremble in fear that they might have to take a stand for the overwhelming majority of us sportsmen who subscribe to and read their product.
We stand up to Peta and the gun haters, but cower and tremble at the thought that we might have to take a stand against a few God haters who like to add something to the Constitution which isn't there and take out of context what is.
Nobody is forcing them to believe anything they don't want to believe.
One thing that bothers me is some people worrying about offending others by using the word "Christmas". That word has been used here in the United States for thousands of years and our family is not about to stop saying "Christmas" or celebrating that wonderful Holiday. If you don't like the word Christmas, then don't use it in your vocabulary!
Hmmmm, Christmas isn't cool anymore at field and stream? Next thing you know F&S will pull their donations to the Boy Scouts for supporting a traditional family. Done.
The people that substitute 'holiday' for Christmas don't read F&S anyway.
i'm really enjoying the level of crying going on about the use of the world holiday.
also AnnaMarie history fail the United States has been around for <300 years so i'm not sure where you go thousands. More power to y'all.
There are more winter holidays besides Christmas. I'm sure you've heard of Hanukkah? The Jewish winter holiday? And CCMJS--to say that only Christians hunt is a very close-minded statement. Hunting isn't restricted to only one faith. To get all bent out of shape over the word "Holiday" is absurd.
It all looks good to me. Gonna have to leave the website up so my wife "can stumble upon some ideas"...
This looks like a great knife. If I could I would bye it.
as non beleiver , screw political correctness and call it what it is, a christmas list
great list
That lone wolf look so easy and quiet to set up
