WHATEVER YOU WANT
The Montana Rifle Company got its start making barrels; then they began turning out modified Model 70 actions for gunsmiths who didn't feel like cleaning up all the mistakes made in New Haven. Then people started asking them for finished rifles, and the rest is history. MRC will build you a rifle left- or right-hand in any caliber from .17 to .50. They will stock it in plain or fancy walnut, synthetics, laminates, maple, regular grip or thumbhole. In short, they will build you almost anything conceivable, and the best thing is that their prices, while more than you will pay for a factory gun, are not at second-mortgage level. The upper rifle seen here is a .325 WSM that has shot half-inch groups at 200 yards. 406-755-4867; montanarifleman.com
