I was looking for a blood trail when I caught movement up ahead in the grass. He turned going from my left to right directly in front of me with a broadside shot. He was trotting along and I raised the Encore, cocked the hammer back and when the cross hairs were on his shoulder I squeezed the trigger and dropped him in his tracks. This was my first coyote; good thing I am lucky.
