Giant Mexican Needlefish
I caught this beauty in the sea of Cortez while fishing near La Paz Mexico. I later learned that this fish was within a few pound of a world record.

I've never seen that kind of fish before.
that fish looks awesome looks like a gar
Thanks guys, they aren't terrible common, this is the only one we caught after several trips in the Sea of Cortez!

Whoa, that is the biggest needlefish I've ever seen, and it sure is pretty!
Any of them in the Santa Monica/Malibu area?I go there time to time.
I've seen 'em mebbe 3-feet, but nothing like that!
i've only seen small neadle fish
