The cold waters of Northern Canada make the lake trout grow only about a half of one pound per year, so a 20 lb laker is about 40 years old (not uncommon). Consequently we only keep smaller ones for shore lunch. This laker was caught on a rainbow pattern Eppinger Daredevle!
