Baby Couger?
I got this cat like thing on trail cam. I think it might be a baby couger but I am not sure. The live trap is in the backround because I was having problems with racoons tearing down the camo burlap in the treestand.
Species:
Cougar
Where: Michigan
Method:
Other
When: at 12:00 am
Sure looks like a cougar. Be careful; those raccons in your treestand are the least of your worries now. lol
Almost looks too big to still have the baby spots. I'll just go ahead and not give that any more thought...
Could be a cougar. Looks too large to be a housecat, and that long tail means it ain't no bobcat. Interesting photo.
I've hunted lots of cats. This is not a Mt Lion. The head in this picture is not a cougar.
I think it is a couger. it can't be a bobcat because the tail is too long.
I think that might be a couger. Although it looks like it has already groun into it's head unlike a baby. Mabey it is something different. I think you should hunt there and see if you can tag whatever it is.
without that tail i would be set on saying its a bobcat or a lynx.
That is an ocelot, and a big one. You say this photo was taken in Michigan? They are not known to range above extreme South Texas. This is very rare, and unusual.
