On the 4th of July 2008, I was fishing a small pond. The weather was overcast, humid with off and on showers. Having no luck with buzzbaits, spinners, Gulp worms and various topwater lures, I tied on a classic Ultralight Arbogast Hula Popper in the green frog pattern. I tossed the popper near some rip-rap and a nice Bass nailed him! Sometimes you just need to get back to basics.
