Feral Hog Hunting-Lake Whitney, Texas
Carl shot this 225 pound beast with a Savage 110 .270. The shot was made at about 100 yards at dusk in a 2 and a half foot tall winter wheat field. He confirmed that it was a hog, but at the time of the shot, the hog moved and he could only see his ears. Carl had to guess where the heart should be. He missed the heart but severed the hog's spine near the lungs, dropping him instantly.
