Big Racoon
This is the coon I was having trouble catching in the live trap. So one night I walk out to the barn to see him go down the back wall. So I got rid of the Ruger 10/22 for the Ruger Single Six .22. Then climbed up there put a flashlight on him and gave him all six shots.

It wasn't easy to get this beast out of the wall. I took an old arrow put a cheap braod head on it and attached a string to the arrow. Then climbed up into the trusses and shot him with my bow. Then I lifted him up just enough so my brother could get a pvc pipe with a wire through it around it's neck. Then we hauled him up witch was not easy at all. But at least he wont be raiding my barn anymore.
oh my bad in the "when" thing it's pm not am.
Good story! They've been terrible up by me lately...same thing with the porcupines, almost every time I go out I'm shooting something.
Great story and that was a smart way to get him out of the wall....
My God Man!! Almost big as by German Shorthair!
FYI, be very careful handling raccoons!
