We were surprised by how elusive the zebra were. After many hours of searching this stallion came out on the trail we were on and stopped facing us for just an instant and then turned to run and gave me a chance. After the shot the mares that were unseen in the brush behind him ran across the trail and disappeared into the mopani bush. It all happened in literally a second!
