Thats a huge rattler!
We came across a 5 footer antelope hunting a few weeks back.. that was enough for me.. we got 4 rattlers that day.
So, how did it taste?

Would not want to come across that when hunting.
Buddy of mine and I drove past one these - maybe a foot shorter - last summer. It was taking its time crossing a rural highway. We thought we'd give a nudge in the right direction, so we pulled over. Then an 18wheeler came around the corner and canceled its travel plans forever. What was left wasn't that appetizing, so I'm still waiting for the chance to make a rattler gumbo.
