2007 7 point, courtesy of my old Remington 788 .308 Winchester
Took this 7 point near my home in 2007 with my old .308 and a 150 gr. Hornaday Interlock. Not an overly long shot but a small window in the brush to shoot thru, but I trust the old 788.
Species:
Whitetail
Where: West Virginia
Method:
Rifle

I got one of them 788 in 223, but that's coyote medicine. Great deer.
I have two of the 788 carbines, one in 7mm-08 and the other in .243 They are one of the under rated bargains out there. Too bad they quit making them. The triggers are a little funky and sometimes the springs get weak in the magazines and they don't feed right but otherwise great little guns. The 7mm-08 is a sub moa gun with the right loads and the .243 is likely the most accurate rifle I own right now.
