Diving is something I've always wanted to do. Great photo.

Thank you, buckhunter. There are a few things I wanted to share with my son, and this was certainly one of them. He was certified when he was 14, the youngest person in the class. Lord willing, he has a lifetime of great outdoor (and underwater) experiences ahead.

Not long ago, I surfaced near my dive kayak and a saltwater fisherman, casting from the rocks, shouted, "You're scaring the fish!" This, gentlemen, is ignorance. Divers do not scare fish away because we operate (without threat) in their environment. I can swim within arm's length of the ling cod and rockfish these fisherman are casting for! On occasion, I will advise nearby fishermen where to cast because I've observed a concentration or school of fish within reach of their cast, but I don't do that for obnoxious people.
