Weird Antler
Shot this buck with the bow on the 16th of October in Pennsylvania. Look at the right side antler. I am not sure what is going on with that side. I am guessing an injury in velvet. What are your thoughts???

When I skinned him he had a couple of very faint fight wounds probably from the year before. Just a couple of scars around the neck area. Nothing around the antler or head area.
I've got no further ideas beyond velvet injury. Hope someone has the answer.
