deer bed in hemlocks after snow

Snow started at first light, accumulated 8" in places. Ended late morning. Crossed fresh tracks and tracks with snow in them. Bumped the occupant of this bed at the edge of a cliff. Conclusion: deer bed or move in snowfall according to individual preferences.
