A great stalk but too small for the freezer
My son, Tim Mathews, saw 2 does bed down in an area of native prairie grass behind my home. This was going to be tough as he 1st had to cross a 100 yards of a combined field before reaching the grass. Tim got within 15 yards of the bedded deer. After getting himself in great position for a shot, he decided not to release the arrow as the does were too small.
