"Woody" 2x4 Whitetail
Nov 14th, 2009, 8:00am, +300yds, 300ft in elevation, 30.06, 165gr bullet = 2x4 nicknamed "Woody"
Bullet entered right behind the right shoulder and exited through his chest. Buck ran~30 yards. I thought it was going to be a pretty decent 4x4 until I got his head pulled out of the log and snow he plowed into, and was pleased to see the perfect bull horn on the right side.
Species:
Whitetail
Where: Idaho
Method:
Rifle
When: November 14, 2009 at 08:05 am
nice buck, i went out that same day for the md junior hunt and didn't see anything.
great job
I wish I had a piece of land in Idaho. There is so much wildlife and game, its just such a great hunting state.
All I can say, is that Idaho has some of the most rugged country in the US. Steep and thick are two words that quickly come to mind...
Your From idaho? which part? Must be north. I live in cascade!I say that because I dont see to many whitetail around where i live. But up north i know where alot of whitetail are! NIce buck!
Yeah i would say our state is the most rugged for sure! Colorado is too but we have more wilderness in our awsome state!
Thanks JustinD. You have some nice muleys down south too! I lived in Boise area for a couple of years and hunted McCall area. Lots of great coutry.
