She is Bill and Woofie's great-to-the nth power Grandma, as well as all field trial dogs today. If you have a good hunting Labrador, it is almost certain that she is in his pedigree. She is at the beginning of the line for many great champions. Several such lines converged to form Bill and Woofie. She was a very happy and sociable girl. A trait that was passed on for all to share. The Field and Stream is the most desirable trophy in the world of retrieving, and is still passed on to whomever wins the National Championship.

A son of Tar by Hiwood Mike was Hall-of-Fame Little Pierre of Deer Creek, who was the first stud at Bigstone (Bill&Woofie's)kennel. He and 1947 NFC and Hall-of-Famer Bracken Sweep were the Grandfathers of Cork of Oakwood Lane. Cork produced 3 National Champions from different litters, one of them Bigstone Hope. B&W are descended from all three. Cork also produced 20 Field Champions. For three years, it was automatic that one of his pups would win the National Championship, because all the dawgz in the final round were his pups! A Great Grandson was 2X NAFC and Hall-OF-Famer River Oaks Corky, who won more field trial points than any other dawg ever.Bill and Woofie have the same Dad. His parents were both grandkids of Corky. They each have a line of descent from their moms as well.
