That was my Dad's last trip to Ossabaw Island. He was pretty feeble but wanted to go one last time. He saw game but didn’t take a shot. On the last evening of the trip at my Dad’s suggestion I hunted a spot he liked but couldn't get into. I took the 160 pound boar with a Hawken rifle by my own hand shooting a .54 round ball. When the wagon stopped to pick me up Dad had a big grin on his face!
