Fill out these applications (one for hunting, one for fishing) and we'll enter you into our database of potential gear testers. IF you're selected we'll notifiy you, and send you gear to test for the magazine's Field Tested Gear section. Thanks for your interest!

The Field & Stream Reader Test Panel consists of hunters and fisherman who like to get their hands on new equipment and see how it really performs in the field.

We provide members of this group with new gear to take on hunting and fishing trips. Their mission is to use it and take note of its durability, function, innovation, and general usefulness. After thoroughly testing the gear, panel members report their findings. And keep the gear. We do not want sugar-coated results; we expect accurate, detailed information, which we in turn pass on to the readers of Field & Stream.

If you would like to apply for membership on our Test Panel, please fill out the fishing form (Click here) and/or the hunting form (Click here).

Note that you do not have to be an expert to apply! In fact, we are looking for a broad range of skill levels, from beginner to intermediate to expert. Please be honest with your answers--it will help us determine what type of gear you should test.

We will notify you if your application has been approved.
