Put a rubber band around reel spooled line - soak the reel spool in water over night - i do this with all my spools that were just filled with new line (takes out the memory)! If that does not work the line was probably spooled wrong. OR pre-spooled with not very good line - or the reel you purchase with line has sat on shelf TO LONG. Remove the reel line 1/2 way through the reel spool - purchase new line - tie together the remaining reel spool line with the new purchased spool -lay purchased spool flat on a floor - reel in line through a piece of cotton (with a little tension - cotton will remove line powders that can build up) after several fills on the reel - flip over purchased line spool -- and fill to 1/16th to 1/8th of the reel spool edge - the line coming off the purchased spool and going on the reel spool - IS EXACTLY how it will be cast. DO NOT spend money to have LINE PUT ON A spinning spool anywhere that does it by machine!!!!! it will end up in most cases like a slinky!
anything you use to fish with any place else! but the seasons are different some shorter some longer - your in the north country (NH). and it's a big DEEP lake!
walmart or any store like it - K-mart even sells a kit with 3 tips and a glue stick (similar to glue used in hot glue gun) you melt the glue with a lighter or match)! (around $2) Check rod end for any further fractures and re-cut straight if needed! 1. heat glue stick and drip over rod end 2. insert new eye tip onto rod end with glue (make sure you have the new tip in the proper position with other eyes!) let stand 5 mins! 3. go back to fishing!!!!! keep left over tips and glue in tackle box
