You are looking at what might be one of the largest steelhead ever caught on a fly. It almost certainly will be an IGFA record for 8kg tippet if verified.
Great fish. Yes it is to bad that it couldn't be released, but any fisherman is in there right to take a fish legally. Why should they have to explain themselves, it's there preference if they decide to keep it or release it. We troll for rainbows on inland lakes and quite often they hit pretty hard and they swallow the hook. Sometimes they are to small to keep, so legally your not allowed to keep them, but morally I think it's wrong to throw back a dead fish. What's right? I don't know, but it's not worth a ticket. Sounds like a good question for me to post.
I have always liked her, she is very sexy, but now I like her even more. It's a shame more celebs can't stand up for their beliefs about hunting; instead of worrying about PETA or somebody attacking them just because they enjoy something they don't believe in. Just like when Rosie was pressuring Tom Selleck that time, big deal if people like to hunt. That's the problem, everybody is always trying to push there beliefs on people instead of just letting them pursue the things they enjoy doing. My hat goes off to any celeb that steps up to the plate and announces they hunt/fish. Like him or hate him, we need more people with Ted Nugent's popularity to come out and support us. Good for her, I will take her hunting any day.
You know you've got a good decoy when gobblers get lovestruck, obsessive, and downright dirty with the plastic hen. Bill Buckley captured these close-range shots of a tom strutting his stuff in the heat of the moment.
