I was pulling for my home state guy Brent Chapman from KS. I really like both Ike and Skeet and thought the gave us a great show. Its always exciting when it comes down to a matter of ounces. I gotta give it up to Kim Bain-Moore, I know she didn't finish well, but even qualifying for the Classic is a big accomplishment. I had to follow the coverage online and got my dad sending me a recording overseas.
From High Definition to Side Imaging, sonar unit technology is really growing. However the prices are growing right along with them. With some of these units costing several thousand dollar, are they worth it? Are they practical for the casual fisherman, competitive fishermen, or just the pro's?
Its crazy, I have two Bass Pro's and a Cabelas all within 60 miles of each other in the Kansas City area. Really convenient but unfortunately has put a hurting on a lot of the mom and pop shops in the area. When I have my choice and time I driving to Liberty, Mo and hittin up Roger's Sporting Goods. Been going there since I was a kid and they know my by first name. Prices are usually cheaper then the big boy's and if not, they price match! Feels like a real outdoors man store without all the glitz and glammer.
The websites are eerily similar. whats up with that?
Heading down to the amazon for some monster peacocks sounds fun. Would like to bow hunt an American Bison in my home state of KS. Its not the location that makes it a "dream" from me, rather being able to share the experience w/ someone special like my father, wife or kids.
