Everybody has there favorite youll get a lot of different answers. My favorite/best call is the RNT "Original". but that not the best beginner call though. The best beginner call would be the DR-85, but thats just what i think. Everybody has there own opinion on calls.

I use a 12 gauge with any where from 6 to 4 shot. i think the best hand call out there is the Faulk's C-50 Crow call. you dont need a whole lot of decoys you can bring them in with only three decoys. Well if the grass field has crows in it its fine. i hunt the fly ways, if you can find the fly ways that would work the best, hunt them in the morning when they are going out and in the evening when they are coming in. they usually come in waves so you get a good amount of birds to shoot at.
