Near the end of last week’s ATA (Archery Trade Assoc) show, another writer and I were comparing notes about new products and trends we’d noticed. “Did you see how much the crossbow market has expanded?” he asked. “There are more companies making them now than ever.”
I couldn’t feel too smug that I’d spotted the same thing. You didn’t have to wander too far through the Columbus Convention Center without bumping into a crossbow display. There were dozens of makes and models, and companies scrambling to capitalize on this expanding market.
From the Examiner: In a November survey, the Consumer Reports Money and Shopping Blog . . . revealed a number of items new to the [poll] that gifts respondents said they’d be ‘thrilled’ to receive: boots, purses (designer, no doubt), pajamas and guns.
[As] much as I like the NRC's changes, I think the commission shot itself in the foot by spending months taking testimony from hunters about proposed crossbow rules it was considering then adopting an entirely different and un-debated set of rules. . . .

I think if you are really able to pull back a bow, you should try it. they call it BOW-season for a reason.
