Thanks for the tip, sound interesting
That is cool,
If you are hooking into cats that large I would recommend a 6/0 Eagle Claw Circle Hook, That is all I use for larger catfish, The line you are using should not be a problem, depending on the cover in the area, if there is a lot of heavy cover then step up your line to a 60-80lb Braid if you prefer braided line.
The bait you are using is what I would recommend, sun-perch or bream are the go to bait for big flatties.
Good Luck
Interesting concept, lots of different attractants will catch fish. Creativity is the way to more fish
Simple bait recipe I use that works very well is to take 40% Bran flakes and place them in a sock or cloth, dip it in the water and squeeze and mold until it forms a dough, it will be very sticky and holds onto the hook very well. You can add flavoring such as vanilla or strawberry to it, but the standard bran flakes bring a lot of carp in and they are fun to catch,
I like to use ultralight tackle setups to battle them.
I still have a few cane poles stored up that we made as kids. That was a summertime tradition, to make a cane pole and catch worms around the garden or underneath the chicken pens.
Brings back fond memories.
Catfish and Catfish
Yep a hypocrite of the highest order. She is all about her not the people or change as she would have you believe.
I would say ignore it and dont let it get to you, Some people dont log on every day and that is why they answer lots of questions one after another, they try and catch up when they get a chance.
Some are padding numbers but not all.
Some of the questions are repeated quite often, but I think a lot of it is due to the fact we have new posters who don't really look through the old posts, they are trying to be active and involved so they ask questions. Some may be a repeat of a previous question, but I think it's a good thing in the fact that it genereated activity and intrest among the new member, if they get a bunch of flack for asking a question they most likely will leave and go somewhere else.
There is a lot of good info and knowledge to be gained in the answers section, even if some of it is repeated multiple times.
Just my opinion
