I'm from Nebraska, but I go on vacation near St Cloud, Minnesota and there is a Fleet Farm there, Its probably my favorite store and Ive spent tons of money in there fishing section.
I usually use crawlers, livers, or stink bait. Use more heavy tackle though. GO BRONCOS!

I think they are a problem, but havent seen any huge effects yet.
rrmont has got it. You can do so much with spinner baits. Fish in clear or muddy water. Sunny days or overcast. Cold or hot. Anytime of day. Light or heavy cover. Thers so much you can do with them.

Try using the little fake worms that come in those little plastic jar things. Its made by berkley I think but they look almost exactally like worms and you can use one more than once, you dont even need to buy worms. They work good!

I love fishin for cats, I usually use nightcrawlers but for stink bait, DOCS, it's a stinkbait they make in Iowa, it's the only stinkbait ive baught and has worked. Turkey liver works good, ive noticed it stays on the hook better. Otherwise try making your own stink or bloodbait, thats what im going to focus on trying this year.

Once last spring I just was fishing with a bobber and a worm and caught about 7 of them in 30 minutes. I haven't caught any of them before then so I didn't know what it was but I like catching them they put up a decent fight when reeling in haha
Cabelas for hunting, Bass Pro for fishing, or whoever has good sales. Heard of GM, never been there though...
