Last year, on my best night of hunting without shooting a buck, I had a great 10 pt. with about an 18 inch spread walk out of a ravine and along side the trail I was hunting on. Unfortunately, he was in thick cover only 15 yrds. away, and I couldn't get a shot. But when he first got up the hill, it sounded like he was growling and he continued to do this for about 3-4 minutes. What was he doing and have any of you ever heard any funky sounds from a whitetail buck?
Thanks again Beekeeper!
I'll be out of state for the next month, keep me posted if you go.
Are you sure this is free, I went there and there is nothing saying it is free. I'd hate to get to the end of the year and they send me a bill for $50.
Sorry you had to deal with that, guys like that ruin it for everyone. 1st of all I would't worry about the urine, it all breaks down to ammonia after so many hours. It might even help? 2nd, don't quit hunting! If this happens again, notify your local D.N.R., that is hunter harrassment and they can ticket him. 3rd and finally, ask your uncle to talk to this guy. He makes all of us hunters look bad, and very very few off us act like this. So don't be discouraged and good luck hunting this year.
I found a good way to reuse your old T.V. antenna tower, use it as a climbing stick. Just buy some rachet straps, and strap it to a tree. It's also stronger than the climbing sticks.(For the bigger guys)
This will never happen, it's just another push to increase sales. It worked for gun sales over the last 6 months, so why not try it for ammunition?
Just don't answer them... plain and simple!
Michigan
Can you smell it? Turkey season is almost here in Michigan, and that means a pretty busy schedule come April 20th. It's my favorite part of spring. I get to turkey hunt, look for sheds, and hunt for Morels(mushrooms- for those that don't know). And then, once Memorial Day gets here, add pike fishing to the afternoon mix. I can't wait! Do any of you do these or any others this time of year. Do you folks have an established turkey camp, and celebrate it like the opener of deer season?
