    Sorry about your eye. My Father was right-handed but blind in his right eye, so he always shot left-handed. His Savage 110 in 30.06 was a sweet rifle. My advice would be to get a .270. They're hell on deer, and since your left shoulder is unaccostumed to recoil, it'll jolt you less than an .06, w/o any loss in performance. As for bows, you might check w/your state. In Mo., my Dad was able to qualify for a crossbow permit allowing him to bowhunt legally w/a crossbow. Remington,Ruger, Winchester,Savage, they're all American gunmakers that make fine left-handed bolt actions. Good luck, and keep hunting!

  • Wife's Kitchenaid

    My wife got a Kitchenaid mixer for our wedding. These things are pricey, around $300, so I bought a grinder attachment for ours, and that thing absolutely eats venison! I've ground up the burger meat on around 30 deer since I bought it, and it never misses a beat. So, if your old lady, or someone you know has one of those sittin' around (my wife NEVER uses hers, it's been in the garage since fall and she still hasn't noticed) you can turn it into a pretty sweet grinder for not much cash. There's a sausage stuffing attachment for it too.

  • If You could have just one rifle...

    My pre-64 Mod. 70, .270. My Grandpa gave it to me after he killed tons of deer w/it. I've done the same since. It's stock shows scars from 5 decades of hunting, and it is extremely accurate w/ the cheapest of ammo. I finally gave up trying to hunt w/ other rifles over the years, because I always go back to the .270. Hopefully I can pass it on to a Grandson in the future. A jealous cousin told me I should quit hunting w/it and put it in a safe a few years ago, I told him he was crazy. My Granddad didn't give it to me to keep in no safe. If it wasn't meant to put meat in the freezer, it shouldn't do it so well.

Fact: We have depleted huge amounts of O2 producing vegetation in the past 100 years. Fact: We've polluted streams, rivers, and oceans, some to the point of devastation, in the past 100 years. Fact: Yes, the Earth has managed just fine for millions of years, but that was before we became "industrialized". I would love to live in your fantasy world where none of these FACTS could POSSIBLY have a detrimental effect on the environment. You all must be smokin' some GOOOOOOOOD Sh**!!!!
