I would definetely not plan on hunting big game with a big game gun pretty much a really bad idea. You should first enter a hunter safety course. I would then from there depending on what your hunting a .22 is good for woods around your house for only about squirrels so I would go with the 20 gauge which allows you to hunt a large variety of game.

I just pull them off, They never seem to be on there to long before I notice. A good thing to do is always just feel your head and then when your taking a shower just look around to make sure none are latched in anywhere else. If you find them before to long you'll have no issues just pulling them off. On your dog if they've been on there a longer time simply use a q-tip dipped in rubbing alcohol and then leave it on them until they come undone and dispose via toilet or any other way you feel these bloodsuckers deserve to die.

I am a trapper and the link to hunting is so vastly important that people don't understand, without hunting there is a very very few ammount of trappers and not enough of them to protect it from being outlawed by animal rights coo coo heads, we are under the umbrella of hunting and the NRA and without it there would no longer be one of the most precise ways of taking care of nuisance animals such as beavers, muskrat and coon. So the combination between hunters and trappers is vital if hunters turn against trappers there will be nobody except the trappers left to defend them, destroying another beautiful and god given right in this country.

first and foremost you need luck. then you'll need to set your drag at a more loose then tight setting. then it'll help to use a small steel leader nothing to big just for safety precaution so he doesn't snap your line with his teeth. right now I'd say that working the weed lines is your best bet with a larger bait then you'll be used to throwing with a bass rod I'd suggest maybe a mepps #5 or whatever the largest size clackin' rap you can cast with comfortably. right now in the late summer time the fish will be more agressive in the mornings and in the afternoon and will be usually ambushing from the weeds where they can hide and take cover from the sun. Good luck and good fishing. and just a reminder keep your rod tip high don't let them pull under the boat if you can cause your regular mono or whatever you have on your line isn't going to be used to this kind of tension and won't rub so well against the side of the boat so when he makes a dive let the drag burn and let him take as much line as he needs.

So I'm sitting there pactiently then af few minutes later i hear the typical deer crunch, crunch, crunch. I waited for it almost shaking with anticipation then as it neared within feet of me behing the tree I finally turned my head out of anticipation and not two feet from my face a grey squirrell was it freaked out and I've never seen one of them climb that quickly up a tree it gave me a bit of a scare to.

about a month ago me and my friend planned this day for about a week and that morning he got home from work and we left to go fish me, him and his dog. We got on the water and the boat didn't start. Then when we started fishing both one after the other caught a dock with our hooks and had to go in then it started raining, got windy, and cold. So we fished for about a couple hours only landing 3 big bluegills and a few smaller ones and one bass. We lost three baits mine to a northern and his to a bass and another one of his to a tree. Later that day after lunch we went trout fishing and caught absolutely nothing and it was still rainy, cold and we got lost in the woods while trying to find the road where we parked. After that we went home and slept for about two hours, watched T.V and promised that the next time we go fishing it's going to be way beter weather.

I'd shoot it in Wisconsin you're allowed to take a white deer as long as it even the smallest ammount of brown fur on it.
buffalo county wisconsin.
one gun it'd be a 21 gauge rifle maybe a 870 or something you could use if for everything from ducks, grouse, doves (overkill), turkey, squirrels (overkill). You could put slugs in and take deer and if you got close enough I'd assume a slug could kill a black bear.

you all realize now that everyone will be fishing in Japan now for the monsters. So hopefully some backtown georgian in America gets the next one. You never know this could just be a hoax the gut in the picrure looks pretty crazy.
they quit making it now but it's called yo-zuri it's a hybrid of some sort with more strength to it then what it's at and that's what I caught my largest musky on was that in 6lb. test.

where I live we don't have a lot of game there but if we did I'd take something like elk or moose but seeing as we don't have to much here I'd take the fishing license for the sake of not paying 20 dollars every year for a license.
spinnerbaits with a willow blade pulled just above the weed line.
early in the morning and later at night when there feeding. What you most commonly hear though is the transition between light and dark which is about 20 minutes where the bass quickly transition eyesight and game fish take more time therefore making them almost essentially blind to the aggressive bass.
Q:What type of lures should I use to fish a lake full of logs, with a muddy bottom, and darker water?

topwater popper over submerged logs and other things. I would also try to to use a rat l rap or something with a lot of noise seeing as it's dark conditions.

yeah that's what I'd do. I would put on a crank bait if there aren't to many weeds on the bottom and pull it along the bottom of the lake.
I'm not sure what baits your talking baits your talking about if your going with anything that looks like a fish I'd say match the natural forage which is usually bluegill, If worms then maybe a blueish or something.

well, this is a depressing question but I'd go with a trip to Alaska for big game such as bear, moose, caribou and also get in some excellent fishing in some of the national parks there.

Captain brad thanks for showing how the outdoor community and this website itself is such a cooperative and helping community and that most can be trusted and for helping get a kid active in the hunting community. I hope we all can be as helpful as you and at least get one kid into the sport to continue it's existence.

you need to make sure and vary your retrieve and to some crazy jerks, pull it up then let it fall down and let it hit the bottom then thrash it through the water.
