There is absolutly NO WAY I cann recomment that! It's a very good eay for you to insure you are severely injured at least or possibly killrd. A .22 will break up and not penetrate enough for a safe kill. Wild boar are extremely tough snf drtrmined animsls, I would not recommend any thing less than a 270, or a 357 Magnum Pistol, and then ONLY if you are sure of bulley placement/

IN KS the course costs $150 (average) The application fee is $150 90 to the Sheriff of your county, requires three sets of fingerprints, NCIC checks, local background checks and proof of citizenship, then 60 to the Attorny General of the State's office for their check, took 9 weeks to get. A bit slow I thought but worth it. But if you cannot afford see if open carry is allowed in your area, BUT, you can bet the Punks will take it as a challenge.

Down to the bottom of this article. "Unforgettable Bowhunters - Inside the Lives of the Sport's Most Famous and Infamous Personalities" by M.R. James, gives biographical accounts of some of the world's top hunting archers, including Fred Bear, Ted Nugent, Chuck Adams and Nathan Anderson. It also delves into the darker side of intentional and unintentional violations that felled high-profile archers as surely as the game they had taken with bows and arrows. Noel Feather and Roger Rothhaar lost high-profile hunting media careers over improperly tagging a single deer. Robert Hansen, a famous archer, was also a psychopathic killer who also hunted human prey in the most chilling manner imaginable. ISBN 0-9721321-5-5; Ihunt; Communications;

BOth points of view, Ignore or be ready to shoot have merit, but NEVER EVER go into the woods with out the means to defend yourself, there are many things out there that can and will kill you many without a warning of provocation, that can also happen in cities too. Always be prepared.

You bet I do, I never liked AR's at all, the .223 round is a POS on the battle field and not effective as a hunting round. Making them in alrger calber is ok, but they should be limited in scope, the people who think they are "cool "Man" are mostly "wannabe's". having fired hundres of round in and out of combat zones I really wante my old M1 Garand back.

I got this from Google Search, Could not copy the authors name however, ( I did try but it was a crazy screen name) when I lived in Florida I saw black "panthers" many times, could be that some have migrated who knows? Some people here are obviously confused. There is no actual species called a black panther - this is merely the name commonly given to melanistic leopards. That is, leopards with an excess of the dark pigment melanin, resulting in an almost totally black coat (the markings will still show up against the background in certain lights). Some people also refer to melanistic jaguars as panthers, though this is not technically correct. Jim, melanism can occur in any species, just like albinism - as I said, it occurs in leopards fairly frequently as well as in jaguars. Therefore, a melanistic mountain lion (also called the puma or cougar, or Florida panther in the case of the subspecies found in Florida) is entirely possible. There are occasional sightings of black mountain lions reported, though I don't believe any of these have actually been verified in the wild. However, in the film 'Cat People', a black mountain lion appears in several scenes. It is definitely a mountain lion and it is definitely black. So either it is a melanistic individual, or someone dyed a mountain lion's fur black, which I think you'll agree is rather unlikely. Source(s): I used to be a zookeeper and have studied animals all my life. * 11 months ago Some people here are obviously confused. Found a blog that talks about it DONT THINK they DO! iew Full Version : Kel-Tec or Kahr? Glock940 07-21-2009, 19:01 I hear so much good talk about Kahr 9's but none on Kel-Tec 9's...well more the PF9. I have a Kel-Tec PF9 and really like how concealable and light it is. Shoots pretty well but all this talk about Kahr is making me think twice now. Maybe I should have looked at the Kahr first instead of buying my Kel-Tec? The Kel-Tec purchase was one of those walk in and oooo I like it and purchased it. So no real thinking but more of impulse buying. Can any one tell me what are the side by side comparisons? The good and bads of each? I know the Kel-Tec is a PITA to strip imo and the price is real good for it. Other than that I have no clue. I might look into getting one if what I hear from here is all for the good. Thanks betyourlife 07-21-2009, 19:09 KT hands down. I don't know where you heard good things about Kahr. Everyone I know has had problems with them, and I hear nothing but complaints about them here. I have never had a complaint about KT pistols... tinygnat219 07-21-2009, 19:21 Kahr pistols are nice, at double the price. I don't really see a difference between them and Kel-Tec functionally. The PF-9 really is the best deal out there for Micro-9MM guns. It's inexpensive and reliable. JayAK 07-21-2009, 19:28 Not to hi-jack the thread, but if you can wait there are a couple of tiny 9's on the way to market.... Bersa has a small single stack 9mm coming out as well as Microtech... http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1065232 http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1080527 http://glocktalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1062177 kalashluvr 07-21-2009, 19:29 Two Kel-Tecs (PF-9, P3AT) and both had problems, one PM40 with problems. All problems were resolved after trips back to manufacturer. Kahr is much nicer, with nice trigger, and doesn't. My PM40 is more pleasant to shoot than the PF9 was too.... If money's an issue, go with the PF-9. dictaearl 07-21-2009, 19:37 I have the P11 KT and my only initial complaint was the long stiff trigger pull. After a few hundred rounds it's not a problem (although it doesn't compare at all to my Glock) and it is very concealeable. It also has a 10 round mag which is a nice plus. It is a little thicker than your PF9 but it disappears in my IWB holser with nothing but shorts and tshirt. I looked at an considered the Kahr at the gunshow when I bought my KT and there was just about $100 difference at the time but I am pleased with my choice. I must say it was the P3AT that had spurred my interest initially in the KT but I much prefer the 9mm as oposed to the .380

I would go for a Savage Mod 110: Savage Model 110 A proven economical backwoods rifle By Massad Ayoob Photos by Gail Pepin Massad Ayoob Fifty years ago, Savage Arms introduced a new bolt-action sporting rifle. In the gun world, this was news. Savage was most famous for its sleek lever action Model 99, named for the year of its introduction at the end of the 19th century. The firm had produced a few bolt actions, but they tended to be undistinguished in styling and performance, and were seen as “poor man’s hunting rifles.” Savage 110 .30-06 is Massad Ayoob’s only southpaw bolt action, the first of its kind to be factory-produced. Savage 110 .30-06 is Massad Ayoob’s only southpaw bolt action, the first of its kind to be factory-produced. The new rifle, dubbed the Model 110, was different. It was built to run after the big dog, Winchester’s Model 70, long known colloquially in gun circles as “the rifleman’s rifle.” The 110’s design work, begun in 1956, was done primarily by the late Nicholas Brewer. Brewer had sought to design a reliable bolt action arm with superior accuracy and an affordable price. Firearms engineers have since marveled at the brilliance with which Brewer combined economy of manufacture with quality of end-user function. In his authoritative text “Bolt Action Rifles,” Frank de Haas explained in great detail how much cleverness had gone into Brewer’s design of the Model 110’s action. Here’s an example: “The 110 sear, a marvel of ingenuity, serves a 3-fold function: as sear, bolt stop and cocking indicator,” de Haas pointed out. There were two other factors that caught the gun-buying public’s attention and assured that the new rifle would stay on the production line for the next half century. Introduced in 1958, the gun was quickly made available in a left-handed model, and in 1962, the company made actions and barreled actions available separately. Southpaw factor
