  • I hate the military!

Unfortuatly I do not really get a 96. Tuesday we have our Birthday cake cutting ceramony in the morning and then get off that afternoon. Wednesday is my birthday ball, and thursday is my recovery day from the ball. Then I am back to work on Friday so there is not much time over this 96 or I would say come on down and visit maybe some time soon though.
  • I hate the military!

Rudy I am getting out in May, though it could be soon or later. From the IED I have been have seizures in my right hand and TBI symtoms becoming more prevolent. So I am undergoing testing and may get medically retired. Either way we are staying in the area because I am trying to get a job with my command on the civilian side. I wish I could have gave you some of that gator it sure was good.
  • Host Needed for Outdoor TV Show

Well I am only 22, from NY, love the outdoors, studied environmental science in highschool. Loved to learn about zebra mussels and phragmites in class when we did invasive species. But is this a scam?
  • I hate the military!

Liberty, You should not hate the MILITARY, we are only doing the job we are told to fight. You should hate the government for not doing its job! You sound like a Vietnam protester and I am only 22 years old. Please do not start that stuff again. I do not want to experience that.
  • What is everyone shooting?

Fred Bear Lights Out 65#, Trophy ridge sight, whisker biscuit but I think I may switch because it seems to be messing up my fletchings already. Gold tip arrows with G5 Montec 100 grains.
  • Letter To Obama - 4th Grade Teacher's Letter

I agree Jeff4066, while it is a well written piece I do not know if it was really sent. There are so many forwards nowdays it is unreal. But again it was well written.
  • What do you take for granted?

Today has been one year since we lost Capt Garrett "Tubes" Lawton, on that same day in that same vehicle that I was driving my life changed forever. When you come that close to death and laying there on the operating table wondering what is wrong with your head because you can not see it. You begin to think about life. I was thinking about how much I took for granted, the things I did foolishly, the little things that we always complain about. Well I challenge all of you to do this.
  • UPDATE to getting my Concealed Carry Permit

Thanks Clay, I have heard that the Sheriff department does not like Marines. Most of them are always getting into trouble. But this guy did not explain anything to me just told me to change residency and go away.
  • Do We Really Have The Right To Bare Arms Anymore?

I totally agree with you Nycflyangler on the advancement of IED's, the things they are coming up with is simply stunning. I just went off on a wild tangent because you originally posted that IED's were self defense, and I feel like you said before that war is to kill with out being killed. Basically it is evolution on the battlefield, we create something better then they counter that with something more advanced. As we have seen from Vietnam to present that guerrilla warfare is here to stay. The book "The Other Side of the Mountain" goes into the tatics of the Mujahideen against the soviets, again there was evolution in the battlefield. I admit that my previous comments were very childish, guess I was caught up in the moment.
  • Wounded Soldiers
