Try some worms first, then all i can add is a mister twister. You may catch some panfish but i have caught plenty of bass using my favorite orange and yellow mister twister.

Up here in Ohio I go out on rainy days and catch a whole buch. Its fun but it kills my back. we caught over 600 last time we went out with 3 people!

I'd say a lab. My neighbors have a lab and he is always chasing birds. When we fish there he is always waiting for us to throw the fish back. Once we throw the fish in the water he goes right after it! It surprises me how many fish he actully catches!

Black squirrels are common in Ohio. There's also some grey and those brownish ones. Never seen a albino one though. That would be a sight for me!

Nope haven't got one. I don't really need one but I want one anyway! I think we should get them at the end of the contest. That way if some one is disqulified, they don't recive a pin.

That would be dumb for a couple of reasons: 1.It would take the fun out of hunting.You wold never miss. What fun is that? 2.It would completely slaughter the animal.

I agree with the others. I read it when I was twelve, so did my brother. The ads don't matter. I never pay attention to them. As young adults, kids this age most likely have already been exposed.

Wild turkey and catfish

After I asked if deer liked pears on here, I learned they LOVE them! We set out a 5 gallon bucket full of pears in front of our trail camera and they were gone in just a couple of days! We had the camera faced towards the opening in the woods though, so we didn't see who got the pears. We moved the camera and then got a pic of a small buck.

If it is legal where you are, put them out before. This will give the deer some time to find the apples. Then they will know where the apples are, and will come back for more! Good Luck!!

A paylake is a place where you go to fish but have to pay to get in. I don't like them. The owners take those big catfish out of rivers and put them in their lakes, the make people pay to fish for them.

Well, the past couple days in Ohio have been beutiful (except for today) and I wish I could've gotten out, but I have pnomonia. I can't go out and I haven't been able to go to school. I HATE being sick!

My mom buys them for my brother and I read them. Lots of important info in there. Actully, the first time I read the magazine I found out about this site.

I would do a project on catfish. I wish I had to do a project on catfish, but my sciece class is terrible.

I've been in school too. I try to get on every day though. Not to much has been going on. I'd say just check out the posts you have missed. It's kind of different without you guys posting.

I usuually catch and release. If we catch a fish and decide to eat it we take it home. Other than that it is catch and release.

I don't know much about flatheads but I can always tell by the tail. Channel cats have a forked tail and bullheads have a round tail. If you look at my profile you can see the two. The little ones are bullheads and the bigger one on the ground is a channel.

For crappie try minnows. Fake minnows work good to. I bought a back of fake minnows at dicks sporting goods, and when we went crappie fishing last spring I caught a couple nice ones. I like worms for panfish. Small, fake baits work well for me too. I mostly use twister tails. I catch mostly panfish, but bass will bite them too.

i have always used minnows for crappie. They do bite on worms also. I have osed foak minnows as well and they seem to work well.

I always catch them in the spring. I didn't catch any this summer over at the neighbors, they were all caught in the spring.

I like nightcrawlers and shrimp. Hotdogs work well too.

My brother just got a new coyote mouth call. It is supposed to sound like a dying rabbit. When he went coyote hunting he said he called in a bunch of crows.

I like shrimp. We had a couple packages of freezer burnt shrimp. I took them fishing at the neighbors pond and caught some big bass and a catfish, 27".

I like to fish right before dark. I use worms. minnows and fake baits. For fake bait I tail grubs the best. Sometimes I will collect bettles and use those.

I have a Ruger 10/22 and I'm very happy with it. I don't use it for varmit control, though it would probably do the job.

We have alot of coyotes around here, but I've seen more rabbits! If we listen we can hear the coyotes almost every night. Its kind of cool!

All the crappie I've caught have been like a silver color. The fish you're catching might be a hybrid or something.

I don't usully cut open the fish I catch, but we killed a bullfrog for frog legs and it had a smaller frog in its stomach.

I've never heard of it either. I'll have to try it.

We use small bluegill when we go fishing at the ohio river. I'd say cut bait works way better than worms for the bigger cats.

I like walmart and dicks sporting goods the best. Bass pro and cabelas are nice and they have lots to pick from. Some local shops have small selections also.

Patience. You also need the right bait and location.

I would get pictures because it would probably break my line or my pole, so I wouldn't be able to get it landed.

I had a problem just last week. I was fishing over at the neighbors and I lost my favorite lure. I had a bite so I jerked the pole. It started to put up a fight so I started reeling a little bit faster. The next thing you know there's no more fight. Right then I knew I had lost my favorite lure. I got mad so I put on a new lure and tried to catch that fish and get my lure back. I knew it was no use, but hey it was worth a try!

I always hear them at night. The other night I heard them around 11 p.m. in the field outside the house.

First just tie on a hook and clip on a bobber. Use some worms to get started with. Soon enough you will get the hang of what you need to do, then you can teach your kids! You can also try some fake bait. Just use what is in your dad's tackle box or go buy some new bait. Make sure you take your bobber off before using fake bait! I learned to fish when I was young.I make time to go fishing at least 3 time a week.

my family always goes to see fireworks, but we probably don't have to because we can see alot from our yard.

Yeah, my our dogs get treats. They used to get toys but the are 14 and 10 now so they don't play with toys much anymore. They are happy with the treats though!

It will be much harder to catch a bass in this lake than a lake that is hardly fished. You could always try to use a bait these fish don't eat often. Some baits I would try are shrimp, grubs, hot dogs or something that might not be used often by other fishermen. Good luck!

My family hunts for mostly the meat and the trophy but, we do let the small one pass.

You don't need a special pole. I used a smaller pole for a long time and caught lots of big bass. I usually put on some 15 pound line and I'm good to go.

i'd want an expensive fishing pole or some new baits.

I've heard that jigs can catch almost anything. We fish with minnows in the ohio river for walleye.

I like rapalas and spintail lures the best.

I've been doing great with the bluegill an bass. I caught a 27" catfish on the 22nd. I've also caught a few nice crappie.

I don't know so much about Michigan but, I've heard that jigs catch almost anything and they're cheap!
