The XPS Extreme ETX66MHS spinning rod in matte finish is equipped to handle an aftermarket weight-balance kit for ideal rod balance. Counterbalancing the rod butt correctly translates into less fatigue and greater casting efficiency over a day of slinging lures. This Extreme is one of a series of spinning and casting rods totally reengineered for 2001 to be lighter and stronger. Some testers found it lighter than the company’s Tourney special, with ‘great in-hand fit,’ and everyone on the team felt the finish was beautiful.
