Fenwick Fenglass Rods mark the return of the company’s classic fiberglass models. Why fiberglass? Because many anglers still like the softer, easier-loading characteristics of fiberglass, just as some still favor bamboo. The little 5 ft. 3 in., 5-weight model is an instant-loading beauty for tight trout streams. There are also 6- and 71/2-foot rods for 5-weight lines, an 81/2-foot model for 6-weight line and 81/2-foot rods for 8-weight line. These are all two-piece, but the company does make a four-piece, 71/2-foot model for 6-weight line and a four-piece, 7-foot rod for 6-weight line that doubles as a spinning rod.
