Orvis wants you overzealous fishermen who wade wet to throw away those old sneakers, keep your boots for cooler weather and instead try its Wading Sandals the next time you head to your favorite stream. Orvis says that Western trout guides kept hollering for a lighter wading shoe with a felt, bottom-gripping sole, so the company complied.
