Shimano Symetre SY 200RH is one of three new rear-drag spinning reels in this well-known and popular metal series. It features a ‘Fightin’ Drag’ lever that allows for quick increase or decrease in drag pressure, then a quick return to the original setting. It has a non-self-centering bail. Reviewers hailed the ergonomics of the reel and overall good drag performance. However, one panelist felt the Fightin’ Drag on the model we tested changed adjustment so minimally as to be redundant. ‘Great all around and smooth casting,’ was the consensus.
