Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge

Any licensed and stamped hunter is eligible to hunt for waterfowl on the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge. The 4,500-acre parcel is accessible by foot or via the Wallkill River only. Good numbers of Canada geese, black ducks, wood ducks, mallards and teal arrive in winter. Hunters must apply for a refuge permit ($10) from the refuge office.
