Outdoor Skills – Fishing Q&A

Q: In the March issue, you mentioned a book called The Scientific Angler as a reference. Can you recommend any other books along those lines? -Kevin McBrearty, State College, Pa.

A: Check out Peter Moyle’s Fish: An Enthusiast’s Guide (University of California Press, 1995) for an ichthyologist’s view of fishes and their behaviors. For trout specifically, read one I’ve written called The New American Trout Fishing (Macmillan, 1994).
