Roseburg, in southwestern Oregon between Eugene and Medford, is Oregon’s turkey-hunting center. The Umpqua River’s lower reaches in the Coast Range feature the best early season gobbler action, especially on the Elliott State Forest. You can also find decent hunting east of Interstate 5 later in the season, but access is tighter. License fees: $11.50 for residents, $41.50 for nonresidents, plus $58.50 hunting license.
