A new program from Toyota is putting philanthropists in the driver’s seat. If you are part of a nonprofit organization, or know of one that’s worthy, read on. It could land the group a new car or truck.

Toyota is no stranger to giving away vehicles. A longtime sponsor of Field & Stream‘s Heroes of Conservation program, the company awards a new Toyota truck or SUV, as well as a $5,000 grant, to the the brand’s “Conservation Hero of the Year” every fall.

For the new “100 Cars For Good” contest, a Facebook-based initiative, the company is giving nonprofit organizations a shot at winning a Toyota vehicle to benefit their cause. “We wanted to engage the community and the supporters of thousands of worthy organizations in this process,” Jim Lentz, president of Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A, said in a release.

To enter the program, nonprofit organizations must submit an application Toyota’s Facebook page. The top 500 submissions will be selected by an independent panel of judges who are experts in philanthropy and social responsibility. Starting in May, five nonprofit profiles will be posted on Toyota’s Facebook page, and visitors will be able to vote (once per day) for their favorites. Toyota will give out 100 cars in 100 days. Voting beings May 9.

To be eligible, organizations must be designated as a 501c(3). This includes charitable organizations that Field & Stream readers are familiar with, such as Hunters for The Hungry and the Wounded Warriors Project.

Applications are currently being accepted, but act fast–the deadline is March 21. To apply, and to watch a video about the contest, click here.
