Someone (Joe Cermele, maybe?) really, really must have wanted this bench to tie their living room together, but the pangs of guilt apparently outweighed their sense of style.
From this story in the Sacramento Bee: Police in Idaho Falls have recovered a bench shaped like a fishing lure that was stolen from along the Snake River last week. Officers say the bench, which was reported missing last Wednesday, was found at about 9:30 a.m. Monday following a tip from a resident.
The bench was believed to have been dropped off at the location after 5:30 a.m. It did not appear to be damaged. The bench titled "Al-Lure" was designed by BYU-Idaho art instructor Jason Brown and had been in place for about a year. Idaho Falls Arts Council officials say whoever took the bench cut the bolts that anchored it to a cement pad.
