On Sunday, a New York couple married at the place where they’d met, on the exact same day of the month, in the exact same spot—the gun range. Trap house #6, to be precise.

According to Syracuse, the couple met five years ago while competing for opposing clubs at a DeWitt Fish & Game Club trap tournament. This year, the couple said their nuptials after competing in the tournament. “I thought [the wedding] was perfect,” said Ann Mapstone, the bride’s mother. “They’re no frills. They’re not into the pomp and circumstance. This is so them.”

After saying “I do,” the shooters compared their score sheets from earlier that day. Bride Lynn Mapstone outshot her new husband 44 to 33. “I did a whole lot better (five years ago) than I did today,” said Peter Derrigo, the groom. “I had other things on my mind today.”
