In episode five of the Field & Stream Adventures Podcast: Paddling Quetico, we face one of the toughest legs of our trip: a 16-mile paddle across Lake Agnes. It’s our fifth day in Canada’s Quetico Provincial Park—a massive wilderness area spanning more than 1 million acres along the Minnesota/Ontario border—and this is the longest stretch of water we’ll have to cover in a single day.
If the distance weren’t enough, strong winds threaten to stall our progress and jeopardize our gear. “You can prepare for everything, and you’ll still get a curveball from mother nature,” says F&S contributor Ben Romans, preparing for the crossing.
So, check out the fifth installment of our seven-part series following our adventure through Quetico.
