If a pair of killer whales is in hot pursuit, you take cover where you can find it—even if it means hugging the bottom of a fishing boat. Such was the case for a solitary sea lion filmed two weeks ago by anglers near Ketchikan, Alaska.

Unfortunately, when the boat moves, the lion finds itself in a world of trouble, and in a desperate bid to escape, begins swimming in the boat’s wake. One whale eventually moves in for the kill and tosses the hapless lion high into the air.
