Video: Tips On Tying Big-Game Streamer Flies

I’m not one to blatantly promote one company over another on this blog with PR blasts or social media campaigns. But in this case I have to share streamer freak Blane Chocklett’s thoughts on tying materials, his new Fish-Skull Body Tubing and why it seems to work so well. According to the company, Chocklett’s Body Tubing is the “secret ingredient used by Blane in his big game flies for heads, to segment the bodies, and to keep the materials flared up, allowing them to push more water and have the illusion of bulk - the hollow fly effect - while being light and cast-able all day.”

Blane and the good folks over at Flymen Fishing Company consistently crank out some of the most innovative tying materials for folks who like to chuck the big bugs and always seem to have some of the coolest products in this realm. Besides showing off the cool new materials from Flymen, I thought this video does an excellent job of bringing some out-of-the-box thinking to how we tie and fish flies for big predatory fish.
